The week ahead

In the last week of parliamentary recess Kerry will be attending a celebration of the life of Rammohun Roy at Arnos Vale Cemetery, meeting with the Environment Agency to discuss proposals for a Severn Barrage, attending the Harvest Festival at St Anne's Infant School, visiting Brunel Academy with the Secretary of State, Ed Balls (tbc), launching a giveaway of energy-efficient lightbulbs at Mecca Bingo, attending an evening with the Prince's Trust, holding an advice surgery in Barton Hill, and meeting local residents in St George West. She will also be taking part in the End Child Poverty Rally in Trafalgar Square on Saturday October 4th.

Parliament returns on 6th October 2008.

Kerry has taken part in an online interview with the ePolitix website, in which she talks about her involvement with the child poverty campaign, the Keep the Promise event this coming Saturday (October 4th) in London and what more the Government could do to tackle child poverty.

Kerry attended a special harvest festival assembly at St Anne's Infant School today, where she presented the school with a Healthy Schools award, in recognition of the work it has been doing to educate children about the need to eat healthily and exercise.
